Helping the child or the adult? Systematically testing the identifiable victim effect for child and adult victims

چکیده
Is the identifiable victim effect (IVE; helping a single identified more than statistical victim) stronger for child victims adult victims? In this paper, we test of identifying and whether that is or on motivation donation behaviors. three studies (N = 1508) with different samples from countries, find no main identifiability any our measures, support IVE mainly occurs children. However, an age effect; receive help (studies 1a-1b) evoke greater to (study 2) victims.
